Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has approved financial assistance to Ms. Ashwini Ponnappa to the tune of Rs 15.00 Lacs for participation in the following competitions: New Zealand Open; (b) Indian Open; (c) Singapore Open; (d) China Masters; (e) Badminton Asia Championship; (f) U S Open; and (g) Canada Open under the Target Olympic Podium (TOP) Scheme. Ashwini Ponnappa has been allocated a budget of Rs 60.00 Lacs for training/participation in competitions and other support for Olympic Games 2016.
