Joint Business Meeting with Japanese PM on August 22

A Joint Business Meeting with Japanese Prime Minister, Mr. Shinzo Abe, is scheduled to be held on August 22, 2007. This is jointly organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) and Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry (Assocham) in coordination with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. During the Business Meeting, Shri Kamal Nath, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, will deliver a special address and the Prime Minister of Japan will deliver the keynote address.

To coincide with the Joint Business Meeting, there will be India-Japan Business Seminar on 22nd August, 2007, where Shri Kamal Nath and Mr. Toyoda, Vice Minister, METI, is scheduled to address. During the seminar, there will be presentations on: “Macro Business Environment in India and Opportunities for Investment” by Mr. Ajay Shankar, Secretary (DIPP); “Investment Opportunities in the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor” by Indian side; “Investment Opportunities in Infrastructure” by Mr. Russell Parera/CEO of KPMG India; and “Doing Logistic Business in India” by Mr. Hiroshi Maniwa, MD/NYK Ltd.
