MHRD orders fresh inquiry into ragging incident at School of Planning and Architecture

The Ministry of Human Resource Development has taken a serious view of the reported incident of ragging at the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) in the capital and ordered a fresh inquiry into the case. The Ministry has asked the Director and Dean of SPA to investigate the case thoroughly and award exemplary punishment to the students found responsible for the offence keeping in mind the Supreme Court guidelines on the issue. They have been asked to personally interview each and every student of the first year in camera and individually enquire about the facts of the case. The Director and the Dean have also been advised to put a notice on School’s Notice Board inviting anyone who can throw light on this incident to come and meet them in camera. They have been asked to submit their report in two days’ time.
