Rail Projects in Karnataka on cost sharing basis

The Government of Karnataka has agreed to share two-third of the project cost for Kottur-Harihar New Line, Bangalore-Kengeri Doubling and Kengeri-Ramnagaram Doubling.

The four ongoing sanctioned projects of Hassan-Mangalore Gauge Conversion, Solapur-Gadag Gauge Conversion, Hubli-Ankola New Line and Guntakal-Hospet Dobling have been identified to be taken up under the Karnataka Rail Infrastructure Development Company (K-RIDE).

The Shareholders Agreements in respect of K-RIDE and Hassan-Mangalore Rail Development Company (HMRDC), the first project specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) have already been signed. The other agreements for HMRDC have been approved by the Ministry of Railways.

All rail projects on cost sharing basis with the State Government are in progress.
