Signing of an Agreement between India and Serbia on cooperation in the field of agriculture

The Union Cabinet today approved for signing of an Agreement between India and Serbia for cooperation in the field of agriculture and allied activities. The agreement inter alia will provide for cooperation between the two countries in the field of agricultural research and production, post harvest management, agro processing and marketing, cooperation in veterinary and SPS issues, trade in agricultural and food products and encourages business to business cooperation.
The Government of Serbia has also extended invitation to Agriculture Minister to visit Serbia in January 2009. The Agreement will be signed during the proposed visit of Agriculture Minister to Serbia.
