The Ministry provides Central Financial Assistance to set up small / micro hydro projects both in public and private sectors.Central Financial support is also given to the State Government for identification of new potential sites including survey and preparation of DPRs and renovation and modernization of old small hydro power (SHP) projects.
In the State of Uttar Pradesh, 9 SHP projects aggregating to 25.10 MW have been set up.State-wise details of SHP projects installed and under implementation are given below:-
