The event of Venus crawling across the Sun during the transit was witnessed at Rashtrapati Bhavan between 4.00 p.m. to 4.15 p.m. on 8th June 2004. A Digital SLR Camera with 600 mm 1:4 IS-USM Ultrasonic lens with EF-2XII extender and X-Ray sheet filter was used for witnessing the event and taking TV mode pictures. The spectacular sight of the Venus transit was viewed on-line at the LCD panel of a Video Camera.
