(a) whether the Competition Commission of India has issued any show-cause
notice to various car makers who are allegedly selling spare parts at
higher prices to consumers in the country;
(b) if so, the details in this regard;
(c) the reaction of car makers in this regard; and
(d) the action taken by the Government against various defaulters?

(a) to (d) Competition Commission of India (CCI), on receipt of information
alleging restrictive practices and abuse of dominant position against certain car
manufacturers, has initiated proceedings under the provisions of the Competition
Act, 2002. The matter is under consideration in the Commission.
