(a) whether the Government has any report on population growth ratio between the Urban
and Rural sectors during last two years;
(b) if so, the details thereof, State-wise; and
(c) the details of sanitation, pure drinking water and basic amenities being provided to
them?

(a)&(b): There is no report on population growth ratio between the urban and rural sector
for the last two years. However, the Registrar General & Census Commissioner of India has
projected the rural and urban population for various years based on the 2001 census and
trends prior to that. State-wise details are enclosed as Annexure.
(c): Urban development is a State subject. Basic services like sanitation, drinking water
are provided to the urban residents by the concerned urban local bodies and State Governments.
