(a) whether the Indira Gandhi National Open University(IGNOU) is considering to enhance
the Gross Enrolment Ratio in the identified districts of various States in the country
including State of Karnataka; and

(a): Yes Sir. As per the information furnished by Indira Gandhi National Open University,
the University has identified 120 Educationally Backward Districts (EBD) of various States
for Special Strategic Initiatives to enhance the Gross Enrolment Ratio.
(b): The list of such identified districts of various States is attached at Annexure-I.
