(a) to (c): A representation dated 3rd April 2003 has been
received from the Soyabean Processors Association of India
suggesting inter alia for declaration of soyabean industry as
a priority sector industry, imposition of oilseed development
cess, maintenance of prevailing customs duty on edible oils
for next three years etc. These suggestions require inter
ministerial consultations taking into account the over all
economic perspective.
