(a) whether the very objective of setting up the
(b) Settlement Commission and Director-
General of Income Tax (Exemptions) has been defeated
as they have not been able to
achieve the desired results;
(c) if so, the Government`s reactions thereon
(d) alongwith the reasons therefor; and
(e)the steps being taken to re-activate both
the institutions?
