(a) the number of institutions against which inquiry was conducted
by the office of the Commissioner Employees-Provident Fund Rajasthan
alongwith the outcome thereof; and
(b) the number of cities of Rajasthan wherein the investigation was
conducted alongwith the names of the officers conducting investigation?

(a) & (b): During 1999-2000 there were 523 inquiries initiated
under Section 7-A of the EPF & MP Act, 1952 in various Sub Regional and
Regional Offices located at Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota and Udaipur.
According to available information 393 cases were finalised and dues
determined. The inquiries under Section 7-A are of judicial nature and
are conducted by APFC/RPFC appointed for the purpose from time to time.
During 1999-2000. Shri J.K. Koli was incharge of Regional EPF Office,
Rajasthan.
