Question : MAINTENANCE UNDER NATIONAL HIGHWAY ROAD DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

(a) whether decision was taken by the Government in December 1998 to hand over National Highways in various states to National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for maintenance under the National Highway Road Development Project (NHRDP);

(a) whether the National Highways have not been handed over to NHAI as yet; and

(b) if so, the reasons therefor?
