(a) the details of budgetary support provided to the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) by the Government;

(b) the breakup of the amount spent by the IOA under various heads.

(c) whether the IOA has submitted any proposal to enhance funds for a special projects; and

(d) if so, the details thereof and the action taken by the Government on such proposal?

THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF YOUTH AFFAIRS & SPORTS ( SHRI PRATIK PRAKASHBAPU PATIL )

(a) & (b) : The Ministry provides grants to Indian Olympic Association (IOA) for participation of Indian contigent in multi-disciplinary sporting events such as Olympics, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Indoor Games, South Asian Games etc. The grants given by the Ministry are for meeting expenses on air passage cost, boarding and lodging, out of pocket allowance, kit allowance, ceremonial dress etc. of the players, coaches and others cleared at cost to the Government.

The amount of grants released by the Government to IOA during last three years including current year are as under :-
