(a) whether the Union Government has received any request from the State Government of Maharashtra for approval of Memorandum of Understanding signed for conservation and beautification of Ahmednagar Fort which is under the control of Local Military Authority;
(b) if so, the details and the present status thereof; and
(c) the time by which the proposal is likely to be cleared?

(a) & (b): The Government of Maharashtra has forwarded a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to be entered between Ministry of Defence and Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department, Government of Maharashtra in October 2012. The draft MoU pertains to the conservation of and beautification of the Ahmednagar Fort. Comments on the MoU are called for from Army Headquarters (AHQ).
(c) No specific time frame can be given for clearing the proposal.
