Question : Rural Roads in Andhra Pradesh

(a) the total length of surfaced rural roads laid in Andhra Pradesh as on 2019, district-wise;

(b) the percentage contribution of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in this regard; and

(c) whether the ratio of surfaced roads to the total length of roads in the district of Chittoor is greater than that of other districts in the State and if so, the details thereof?

(a) The total length of surfaced rural roads in Andhra Pradesh as on 2019 is 28,502.59 km. District wise details is at Annexure.

(b) A total of 14,214.193 km of rural roads have been constructed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) which is 49.87 % of total surfaced roads (28,502.59 km) laid in Andhra Pradesh.

(c) The ratio of surfaced roads to the total length of roads in the district of Chittoor (0.39) is greater than the districts of Anantapur (0.36), Guntur (0.32), Kurnool (0.30), Prakasam (0.29) and Y S R Kadapa (0.21). District wise details is at Annexure.
