(a) the details of fairs held in abroad in which India Trade Promotion Organisation ( ITPO) has organised Indian participation during 1999-2000 and 2000-2001;

(c) whether large number of business negotiations initiated during these fairs have not been able to bag orders to the desired level; and

(d) if so, the reasons therefor?

(a) & (b) Details of the fairs and business generated (as reported by participants) for the year 1999-2000 and 2000-2001 are given at Annexure-I and Annexure-II respectively.
(c) & (d) The business negotiation initiated during the fair are directly followed up by the concerned participants with the buyers. Even after the conclusion of the fair, Indian participants and their overseas business contacts continue business negotiations over a long period of time. Results of such negotiations are not reported to ITPO.
