Question : e-Hospital Portal

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government has launched/proposes to launch an e-hospital portal to enable the patients to secure online appointments for out-patient department and diagnostic checkups, seek
details of blood type availability, get lab. report etc. through the same;

(b) if so, the details thereof indicating its objective and salient features along with the different services being provided/ proposed to be provided under the said portal and the hospitals enrolled thereunder;

(c) whether the Government proposes to bring all Government hospitals under the said portal;

(d) if so, the details thereof along with the time by which it is likely to be done; and

(e) whether the Government also proposes to facilitate online hospital admission, if so, the details thereof along with the steps taken/being taken by the Government in this regard?

Answer given by the minister

(a) to (e): These services were launched on 1st July, 2015 with the following objectives:

1) To avail OPD appointment services,
2) To integrate payment gateway for online payments, and
3) To facilitate patients in viewing their lab reports and check blood availability status in hospitals.
The salient features of these services include Online Registration System (ORS) Android based Mobile App on Google Play Store, Bi-lingual Interface (English & Hindi) and Dashboard showing daily reports.


Presently, these services are made available in the following hospitals:-

1. All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.

2. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi.

3. Sports Injury Centre, New Delhi.

4. National Institute of Mental Health & Neuro Sciences, Bengaluru.
The Government proposes to bring all Government hospitals under the said portal in a phased manner. Health is a State subject and further action in this regard is the responsibility of the respective State Governments/Union Territories in respect of the hospitals under their control.
