(a) & (b) In order to complement and supplement the efforts of the States/UTs for development and promotion of animal husbandry and dairy sectors thereby doubling the income of farmers, the Government is implementing various schemes to enhance production and productivity of bovines & small ruminants (sheep & goat), piggery & poultry across the country including Rajasthan namely:

i. Rashtriya Gokul Mission
ii. National Programme for Dairy Development
iii. National Dairy Plan-I
iv. Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme
v. Dairy Processing and Infrastructure Development Fund
vi. Supporting Dairy Cooperatives and Farmer Producer Organizations engaged in dairy activities
vii. National Livestock Mission
viii. Livestock Health and Disease Control (Including National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) for control of Foot & Mouth Disease and Brucellosis)

In addition, National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) for control of Foot & Mouth Disease and Brucellosis is a new scheme for control of Foot & Mouth Disease and Brucellosis disease with 100 % central support to States with a financial outlay of Rs. 13,343.00 crore for five years (2019-20 to 2023-24) by vaccinating 100% cattle, buffalo, sheep, goat and pig population for FMD and 100% bovine female calves of 4-8 months of age for brucellosis.
