(a) whether the Government proposes to start single window system
for speedy clearance of environmental projects;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government proposes to set up an independent
administrative and control machinery in this regard;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
(e) the steps taken/being taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) & (b) Since the gazetting of the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ)
Notification, 2011 on 6th January, 2011, single clearance letter is issued
for developmental projects appraised under this Notification and under the
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Notification, 2006 through which a
single window system has, in effect, put in place.
(c) to (e) There is no proposal to establish independent and
administrative machinery for single window clearances, as on date.
