Question : MANPOWER RACKET



(a) whether the Government are aware of the increase in manpower racket in Delhi and other States;

(b) if so, the number of incidents which came to the notice of the Government during the last one year and thereafter, State-wise; and

(c) the action initiated to stop such racket?

(a) to (c): Sporadic complaints are received alleging cheating and exploitation. As and when such complaints are received, the concerned recruiting agents are directed to settle the complaints within a reasonable timeframe. If the recruiting agents fail to do so, action is taken to suspend/cancel his registration. Foreign employers who violate the terms of employment are placed in the `Prior Approval Category`/blacklisted. Police complaints are also filed against persons/agencies engaging in illegal recruitments for employment abroad.
