(a) & ( b): Yes. National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) is regularly monitoring stocks of ARV drugs and HIV testing kits including condoms used under National AIDS Control Programme:
• The present stock positions of ARV drugs State/UT-wise are enclosed at Annexure I
• The present stock positions of HIV testing kits State/UT-wise are enclosed at Annexure II
• The present stock positions of Condoms State/UT-wise are enclosed at Annexure III
(c) & (d): Presently there is no shortage of essential drugs and HIV testing kits in the country. Funds are released as per budgetary provisions, for the activities essential to the programme.

(e): NACO has strengthened supply chain mechanism by appointing 6 Regional Procurement & Logistic Coordinators at regional level & 42 state level logistic coordinators (in Process). In addition to this an inventory management system (IMS) has been initiated which is implemented at all ART centres. This is an online system in which pharmacist at ART centre maintain daily stock and consumption of drugs. The same are then monitored at SACS & NACO level. It is also worthwhile to mention that Project Director SACS have standing instruction to procure the drugs from open market whenever shortage for Antiretroviral drugs occurs.
Regarding Condoms NACO has taken initiatives like inter-state and intra-state transfers of condom stocks and borrowing of condoms from National Health Mission (NHM) to minimize the impact of delayed supply. Now the procurement of condom has been started and supply of condoms to the all States has initiated.
