(a) whether the Government is taking any steps to use various art forms to change traditional
mindsets and address various social problems, such as female foeticide, casteism, dowry, AIDS
awareness, amongst others ;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor and the steps being taken by the Government in this regard ?

(a) to (c) : No, Madam. No specific initiative in this regards has been taken by Ministry of Culture. However,
such themes are automatically covered in various plays, musical performances etc. undertaken by various
institutions like Sangeet Natak Akademi, Sahitya Akademi and National School of Drama as art performances
are a general reflection of the social values and problems plaguing the society.
