(a) the details of the assistance provided and works done in the direction of education, training and rehabilitation of physically and mentally challenged people in the country, State-wise particularly in Maharashtra as on date;
(b) the details of the beneficiaries during the said period, State-wise particularly in Maharashtra; and
(c) the other schemes launched/to be launched by the Government for the welfare of physically and mentally challenged people along with the details thereof?

(a) to (c) The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities is providing financial assistance to several schemes / projects through its National Institutes, National Trust, National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC) and Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) as well as through Autonomous Bodies/ Organizations / Institutes and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) for education, training and rehabilitation of physically and mentally challenged people in the country, including the State of Maharashtra. Details of assistance provided, works done and the details of the beneficiaries under the major schemes implemented by the Government for Divyangjans are at Annexure.
