Question : Incentives to Open Pharma Factories

Will the Minister of CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government has offered/is planning to offer incentives to foreign companies to set up stents/ other pharma factories in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with the aims and objective thereto;
(c) the time by which the said decision is likely to be implemented/come into force;
(d) whether the said policy of the Government will also provide good quality product at low cost in Indian markets; and
(e) the steps taken/likely to be taken by the Government to protect the domestic companies which have been already set up in the country?

(a): No such decision has been taken by the Department.
(b) to (e): In view of reply to (a) above, the question does not arise.
