(a) whether the Government have any proposal to set up 100 rural industrial cluster under National Programme on Industrialisation;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(a) & (b): Yes, Sir. Perhaps the reference is to the National Programme for Rural Industrialisation (NPRI) announced by the Finance Minister during his Budget Speech for 1999-2000. Under the NPRI, 100 rural industrial clusters are to be set up every year.

(c): The scheme is likely to benefit around 50 families per cluster.
