(a) whether the Government of Andhra Pradesh has released the strategy paper on
power in the month of January, 2001;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government of Andhra Pradesh has sought Rs.500 crore assistance
from the World Bank in addition to already proposed $100 million assistance under APL-
II for strengthening of transmission and distribution system in the State;
(d) if so, whether the World Bank has agreed to provide assistance; and
(e) if so, the time by which the Government of Andhra Pradesh is likely to be able to
strengthen its transmission system?
