(a) No, Madam.

(b) Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology is a tertiary referral hospital and provides treatment for Cardiological and Neurological diseases. Economically backward patients referred to this Hospital are covered under various Government of India and Government of Kerala schemes such as Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram. Thalolam, Karunya Benevolent Fund, Rashtriya Arogya Nidhi, Arogyakiranam and Prime Minister’s Relief Fund. Apart from this, the Institute also has a well laid down scheme for providing subsidy/concession to economically backward patients categorized into four groups viz. 1) Category – A – 100% concession, 2) Category – B1 – 60% concession, 3) Category – B – 30% concession and 4) Category – C – 10% concession. This system meets the requirement of poor patients who approach for treatment.
