(a) &(b): The Scheduled Tribes and Other traditional forest dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights), Act, 2006 (FRA) is an Act to recognise and vest the forest rights and occupation in forest land in forest dwelling Scheduled Tribes and other traditional forest dwellers. In terms of the Act and the Rules made thereunder, State Governments / UTs are responsible for implementation of the Act. As per information received, details of claims received, titles distributed and the extent of forest land for which titles distributed (individual and community), as on 30.11.2019 is at Annexure-I. As per information received from State Government, status of recognition of individual Forest Rights in Maharashtra during the last three years is as under:-

( c) to (e) Ministry of Tribal Affairs provides demand driven financial support for development projects under the Schemes of Special Central Assistance and of Development of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups as also through Grants under Article 275(1). Such requirements, if any, are covered through these initiatives.
