(a) whether the Ministry allocates funds to conduct various programmes viz: student Parliament, seminars and sensitisation campaign in the States of NER;
(b) if so, the details thereof during the last three years and the current year; and
(c) the actual expenditure incurred for such programmes during the said period?

(a) No Sir. However, the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs implements two youth parliament competition Schemes for JawaharNavodayaVidyalayas and Kendriya Vidyalayas in which schools of North Eastern States also participate. Besides, Scheme of Financial assistance to States/UTs for organising Youth Parliament Competitions in their respective States/UTs is also implemented by this Ministry. Under this scheme, this Ministry reimburses the claims furnished by the States/UTs Governments for organising youth parliament competitions in the following order:-
1. Legislatures having members up to 100 Rs. 3 Lacs per annum 2. Legislatures having members between 100-200 Rs. 4 Lacs per annum 3. Legislatures having members above 200 Rs. 5 Lacs per annum
(the ceiling in respect of UTs having no legislatures is Rs. 2, 00,000/- per Union Territory per annum)
