Question : Employees of HAL

(a) the total number of employees working in the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), category-wise;

(b) whether a number of officers / staff have left the company during the years 2014-15 and 2015-16;

(c) if so, the details thereof; and

(d) the steps taken / being taken by the Government to improve the performance of HAL?

(a) The Group-wise number of employees working in HAL as on 30.11.2015 are as follows:

(b) Yes, Madam. A total of 303 Officers / Staff have resigned from the company in the year 2014-15 and 2015-16.

(c) The group-wise number of employees resigned from HAL during the years 2014-15 and 2015-16 are as follows:-

(d) With the approval of Prime Minister an Expert Group was constituted for restructuring and strengthening of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) under the Chairmanship of Shri B.K. Chaturvedi, Member, Planning Commission on 21st October, 2011. The action plan on the recommendations of the Expert Group was approved by Raksha Mantri on 17.4.2013. The Expert Group made 38 recommendations, out of which 32 recommendations have been accepted while 2 recommendations have been partially accepted and 4 recommendations were not accepted.
