Question : Software Park in Jharkhand

Will the Minister of ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government is aware that the Software Technology Park at Deoghar in Jharkhand is ready to be operational;
(b) if so, the time by when the Government proposes to make it functional;
(c) whether the Government has made any assessment regarding employment generation from the said park at Deoghar; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) and (b): Yes, Sir, The Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) centre at Deoghar in Jharkhand is operational since February, 2019.

(c) and (d): Two BPO units have been supported through the STPI Deoghar centre under the India BPO Promotion Scheme (IBPS) of the Government and they are in process of establishing their facilities.
