Question : DUES FROM ADVERTISEMENT AGENTS



(a) whether the Government has not recovered the outstanding dues amount worth crores of rupees from the advertisement agents appointed by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC);

(b) if so, the details of the oustanding amount alongwith the names of such agents as on date;

(c) the details of legal action taken against the defaulters so far;

(d) whether the Government has taken timely action against the defaulters for expeditious recovery of the said amount; and

(e) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) NFDC has outstanding dues from advertisement agencies for the period up to Financial Year 2003-2004.

(b) A statement showing the outstanding dues from various advertising agencies is attached herewith at Annexure-I.

(c) to (e) NFDC has filed 17 suits aginst the defaulters in the High Courts of Bombay & Delhi which are pending as on date as per statement attached at Annexure-II.
