(a) whether the Government proposes to digitise all post offices in the rural areas and provide main banking facilities in post offices of the country;

(b) Under IT Modernization project, the Department of Posts has a plan to provide Hand held devices to all 1.29 Lakh Branch Post Offices in rural areas with a view to provide Core Banking facility and the facility of Postal Counter transactions.
