(a) whether the Government are aware that Uttranchal produces a wide range of cereals, fruits, vegetables spices, medicinal plants and herbs apart from many other less known exotic products which are at present neglected and go waste due to absence of rural processing and marketing set ups;
(b) if so, whether the Government are aware that Navdanya, New Delhi organized a workshop at Dehradun during June, 2002 to push forward a plan and a product mix for manufacture for rural income generation and empowerment of women through food processing units in 7 centres in the Hills;
(c) if so, the details thereof;
(d) whether the Government propose to give its full support through its infrastructure and bodies like NABARD, CAPART and Food Processing Services, Banks etc. for this laudable project; and
(e) if so, the details thereof?
