(a)&(b): The Guidelines of Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) provide for involvement of
private sector through:
(i) Encouraging Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).
(ii) Earmarking of at least 20-25% of developed land in all housing projects (both Public and Private Agencies)
for EWS/LIG category with a system of cross subsidization.
The modalities of effecting Public-Private Partnerships are to be worked out at the level of State/UT Governments.
