Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) is planning to set up rail-linked container terminals at following location : Agra, Dhappar (Chandigarsh), Raipur, Bhopal, Gandhidham (Kandla), Ankleshwar, Belgaon, Visakhapatnam, Kotal, Kolkata Port Trust area (KoPT), Vapi (Gujarat) and Shambhupura (Rajasthan).

Thirty two depots are in operation presently.

Regular train services are running between Tughlakabad (Delhi) and Cossipore Road (Kolkata).

During the year 2002-2003, containers handled and financial turnover of CONCOR at Cossipore Road (Kolkata) was 24793 Twenty Feet Equivalent Units (TEUs) with the turnover of Rs. 21.47 crores.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Basanagouda R. Patil in a written reply to a question from Shri Tufani Saroj in the Lok Sabha today.
