The 15th USIC (World Railways) International Cross Country (Men) Championship was held from 22nd to 25th April 2008 at Ceska (Czech Republic). Including Indian Railway, total 18 countries had participated in this championship. The performance of our athletes was outstanding and Indian Railway team won the Gold Medal of the team Championship. The following players/officials were the members of Indian Railway team :-
(1) Soji Mathew, WR; (2) Sachin Patil, CR; (3) Arun D’souza, SWR; (4) Paras Kumar, WR; (5) Ratti Ram Saini; (6) Binish Soman, SR and (7) Frank Alphonso, Coach, WR.
Besides, Soji Mathew, WR & Sachin Patil, CR had also won individual Silver and Bronze Medals respectively in the said championship.
