Question : e-District Project

(a) whether the Government has plans to cover all the districts under the e-district programme in the country;
(b) If so, the details thereof and the allocation of funds for the said projects; and
(c) the details of the district proposed be taken up under the project during 2015-16, state-wise and district-wise along with the allocated budget?

Answer given by the minister

(a): Yes, Sir.

(b): The eDistrict Programme (Mission Mode Project - MMP) aims at electronic delivery of identified high volume citizen centric services, at district and sub-district level and to undertake backend computerization to enable the delivery of these services through common services centers. The eDistrict MMP has an approved outlay of Rs. 1663.08 crore.

(c): The details are mentioned in the Annexure.
