(a) Ministry of Surface Transport is responsible for development of National Highways only and all other roads are responsibility of concerned State Government. It is proposed to upgrade all National Highways including NH 44 in Tripura to two lane standards in a phased manner.
(b) It is not possible to indicate a time frame as it depends on availability of funds and inter-se priority.
