Question : Privatisation of BHEL

(a) whether the Government has decided to privatise a profit-making public sector company, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) located in Trichy in Tamil Nadu;

(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor;

(c) whether the Government has floated any bidding procedure to sell its equity and if so, the details thereof; and

(d) the time by which the said company is likely to be privatised?

(a) to (d): No Sir. There is no such proposal with the Government.
