(a) whether there is any proposal for parity between Overseas Citizens of Indian Origin and
the Non-Resident Indians;
(b) if so, the objections, if any, received from different official and other authentic
quarters; and
(c) the decision taken in the matter?

(a)to(c): Yes, Sir. A proposal to notify benefits available to Overseas Citizens of India
(OCIs) is under the consideration of the Government. The matter is being discussed with
various Ministries/Departments of the Government of India.
