Chitranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) produced 176 electric locomotives against the target of 176 electric locomotives and Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) produced 205 diesel locomotives against the target of 199 diesel locomotives during first eleven months of the fiscal 2007-08 (April 2007- February 2008). Rail Coach Factory (RCF) produced 1335 coaches against the target of 1308 coaches where as Integral Coach Factory (ICF) produced 1131 coaches against the target of 1131 coaches during the same period. Rail Wheel Factory (RWF) produced 132324 wheels and 46282 axles against the target of 118276wheels and 46262 axles during April 2007 - February 2008.
During the month of February 2008, CLW, DLW, ICF, RCF and RWF have produced 22 electric locomotives, 15 diesel locomotive, 125 coaches, 141 coaches, 15647 wheels and 6303 axles respectively against the target of 22 electric locomotives, 18 diesel locomotive, 125 coaches, 130 coaches, 11772 wheels and 6231 axels.
The punctuality percentage of mail/express trains was 91.6 per cent in Broad Gauge and 99.5 per cent in Metre Gauge during the month of February 2008 compared to 90.9 per cent and 99.3 per cent respectively during the same period last year.
Railways have realized an amount of Rs. 21 crore approximately during the month of February 2008 through ticket checking.
