Question : Applications under Scholarship Schemes

(a) the total number of applicants under scholarship schemes for Minority students of pre, post matric, higher studies, merit-cum-means and number of applications granted during the last three years in the country, scheme and year-wise;

(b) the amount of scholarships and aid granted to minorities under all schemes, year and State-wise including Uttar Pradesh during the last three years; and

(c) the number of students of minority communities who are studying in Premier institutes of the country, including total number of students studying in those institutes?

(a): The total number of applications received and number of applications/scholarships granted under Pre-Matric, Post-Matric and Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship Schemes during the last three years (2016-17 to 2018-19) is as below:

(b): The number and amount of Scholarship and aid granted to minorities under Pre-Matric, Post-Matric and Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship schemes, State-wise, including Uttar Pradesh, during the last three years (2016-17 to 2018-19) is annexed.

(c): The number of students of minority communities, studying in 85 premier institutes, as listed under Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship Scheme for Minorities, who have applied under Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship Scheme during the years 2018-19 and 2019-20 is 2,974 and 1,940 respectively.
