(a) and (b): Yes, sir. The Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India has been implementing a Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) on Blue Revolution: Integrated Development and Management of Fisheries for development of fisheries sector in the country. The CSS inter-alia provides financial assistance for (i) development of riverine fisheries, (ii) conservation of riverine fisheries resources, (iii) awareness programmes, (iv) cages and pen culture, (v) development of wetland, water logged areas, cold water fisheries, (vi) aquaculture, (vii) construction of hatcheries and fish seed rearing units.
